This week I&#8217;ve been preparing a new large painting with linen pulled over a hand-built 5 by 6 foot wood stretcher. This vlog shows my process of stretching a large scale painting using a staple gun, iron stretching tool and hammer. I then add in layered washes of color before giving the full piece a coat of clear acrylic to prepare for building up imagery with oil.
